“I’m a coward who can’t get through life without a supreme all-powerful sky daddy to bring me comfort and answer the unanswerable, but the bullshit story that I bought into came with a set of rules that are nearly impossible to live by, and I plan on breaking a shitload of them whenever the fuck I please. I need an intellectual out at the ready, no matter how pathetic and contrived it may be, when godless asshole atheists call me out for my failures and hypocrisies. I must preemptively claim to be flawed and fallible and let everyone know that I will definitely fall short of the glory of god. This is how I further my self-reinforcing delusion that god will always love me and accept me into heaven while everyone else burns in hell for breaking the same rules that I intentionally shat all over.”
