The God Complex

This Gives Me Hollywood

In August 2009, the godless assholes at Pirromount released the delightfully funny and eternally blasphemous feature film, The God Complex.

This irreverent comedy (118 minutes) retells your favorite bible stories with more factual accuracy than the original book of lies ever gave the world. Watch God, a fat comic hoaxster in a bowling shirt, fuck with his earthly creations for his own sick amusement. All the usual suspects are there: Adam, Eve, Abraham, Job, Noah, Moses, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, his very gay disciples, Judas (played by the late Andrew Gold), a hot singing angel, and many more!

The God Complex was featured at the 2010 Burbank International Film Festival, the 2011 International Freethought Film Festival, and boasts an official rejection of TEN other highly prestigious film festivals! I mean, how could not love that shit?

A friend of mine worked on the project, and film’s director (Mark Pirro) consulted Godless Bastard on a few scattered points of biblical myth and delusion. (Really. We’re even in the closing credits!) And a nice chunk of the musical score was composed and recorded by Godless Bastard’s official Pekin, Illinois correspondent, Chuck Brierton.

Check out the film’s bio on IMDB and watch the theatrical trailer below.

Buy a copy for a measly twenty bucks. Trust me, it’s worth it!

Check out the rest of Pirromount’s film offerings (they’re listed under 3 similar names) and some really fun shit on their YouTube channel.
