Tearing Down Walls

I’ll keep this one short as the photos tell the story.

Back in 2003, the publicly held company for whom a friend worked acquired a competitor. Their former Denver headquarters became the parent company’s new Colorado facility after the takeover.

My friend was in town for one work related endeavor or another and stumbled upon a rather disturbing sight. He had his camera handy and took the first two photos.

So pretty from a distance…

What the fuck?

Five minutes later he was on the phone with one of the company’s Human Resources representatives to file a formal complaint, and the tenor of his voice made it crystal clear that he wasn’t going to back down. He left for home at the end of the week and returned two weeks later for more of the same.

The morning after arriving he returned to the site and took the third photo – which should reveal the nature of his chat with HR.

To honor god? No. I don’t think so.

Never let this kind of crap go unchecked. Ever. Make them keep their god crap to themselves or within the confines of a religious setting – like a house of worship or some other religious organization and NEVER within the bounds of a publicly-owned business.

I win.
